ABOUT THE DEMO
This demo version contains all the great features of the full product. However, when using the demo version you will not be able to save, print, export or copy. You are not required to register or serialize this software.
The online demo is designed for download from the Web. It holds a small collection of art materials to make the installer much more compact. The full version of Painter 3D includes larger versions of Patterns, Textures, and other content libraries. Online documentation and help files are not included in the online Demo version installer to help minimize file size. Please visit the Downloads section for Painter 3D on the MetaCreations website for additional documentation to download.

System Requirements
Painter 3D requires a Power Macintosh with Mac OS 7.5 or later and a minimum of 16 MB application RAM (24 + MB recommended). Like all graphics applications, Painter 3D enjoys lots of RAM, fast processors and speedy hard drives. You will notice marked improvements in the applications performance if you use a fast computer or add more memory.

Proven 3D Paint Technology: Painter 3D allows you to interactively paint texture, bump, highlight, reflection and glow properties directly on 3D models in real time. Includes advanced brush capabilities with over 100 Natural-Media® brushes and image-editing effects, and advanced compositing controls with support for multiple floating selections which can be modified directly on the surface of 3D models. It also supports up to 32 levels of Undo.

Simultaneous Map Editing: Paint into any combination of maps such as Texture and Bump at the same time. No copy, paste and position. Allows you to be more accurate and productive when designing multiple maps. The new "layer" type image window also eliminates window clutter.
Map Sharing: Use the same image map to attach to multiple objects. Changes to that one map will now apply to all the objects. Makes more efficient use of your maps and saves disk space.
Multiple Object Management: Easily manage multiple object models. New palettes help you isolate individual items with an object hierarchy listing or display the image-to-object relationships. Provides the power and flexibility of controlling your 3D environment.

For Ray Dream Users
Painter 3D includes extensions that allow it to work closely with Ray Dream Studio™ 5 and Ray Dream 3D™ but these plug-ins are not available in the Demo version of Painter 3D since file saving has been disabled.
